Missoula’s Top Veterinary Clinic for
Urgent, Emergency, & Critical Care
Sentinel Veterinary Medical Center, located in Missoula MT, is a new and integral part of Western Montana’s veterinary network. Our mission is to offer excellent pet emergency vet care to our community’s small animal population and their owners. We do so through clear communication at every level, from talking with owners to coordinating care with referring veterinarians to holding ourselves to the highest standards of hospital organization and outreach. Our goal is to relieve the stress from pet owners and family members so that difficult decisions can be made in a timely and informed manner.
Missoula Emergency Vet Services
From a swollen belly to excessive panting to the inability to stand up or a sudden disinterest in food and water to accidents, our pet emergency center vet team offers the top quality procedures and processes to diagnose and treat your pet. Throughout the process of assisting you with emergency cases, we will inform you of your options including estimated costs and potential complications. If further treatment or surgery is required, our pet emergency center will help you with referrals and work with your primary care veterinarian to ensure your pet gets the ongoing care they need.
Euthanasia
Euthanasia is never an easy decision to make and it can be hard to know whether it’s the right time to let go of your beloved pet. With some, the timing is clear when an injury or illness robs your pet of the quality of life they deserve. Other times, a slow decline makes it difficult to know whether euthanasia is the right call. Regardless of your situation, we are available to help guide and support you through this difficult time.
If euthanasia is required, our caring medical team will counsel you through the process. Your pet will be provided with pain medication and you may be with your pet in their final moments if you so choose. You will have the option to take your pet home for burial or to leave them with us for cremation. You may choose to receive the ashes and a paw print in memory of your beloved friend.
Learning Center
Our online learning center is a free resource for information on common pet ailments you may see throughout your dog or cat’s lifetime. We cover everything from lethargy to fractures to give you a better idea of what may be going on based on their symptoms. Of course, this resource is not meant to replace qualified medical care at any time, but rather to help guide you as to when it’s time to make a call.
Some of the issues we discuss in this resource are relatively easy to diagnose or treat, others are more complex and require involved workups. Regardless, we will help you make good decisions about your pet’s health based on their needs and your priorities. We can provide options for financing and cost estimates to minimize your stress. We want you and your pet to be comfortable and relaxed throughout the diagnosis and treatment process. Feel free to access the online resource at the link above. Please feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns.
